Mariia Petryk
About
Mariia Petryk is an assistant professor of information systems and operations management in the Donald G. Costello College of Business, George Mason University. Before joining George Mason University, Dr. Petryk received her Ph.D. in information systems and operations management from the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida. Her academic advisor is Dr. Liangfei Qiu. Mariia also obtained a minor Ph.D. degree in statistics from the Department of Statistics at the University of Florida with the guidance of Dr. Kshitij Khare.
Her current research interests span across information systems and finance, management, and organization science, focusing on blockchain, Fintech, and social interactions. Mariia's work appeared in reputable academic journals, including Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, and at premier IS conferences, including CIST, POMS, and INFORMS.
Before joining the academia, Mariia worked as a Data Analyst at an international telecommunications company (Ukraine) and financial services company (Ukraine). She holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in economic cybernetics from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
